Think i see what's happening here. I'm looking at that photograph as a single entity, and all the women are looking at the shoes as a stand-alone item. No, no, no. This is not what you must do.
Look at the pose, the hair, what she is wearing, the bag, and the shoes, etc. together. Synergy. Nothing in that photo is 'by accident' except the moment in which it was taken. Those shoes were carefully selected, and i'll say again that they were chosen properly.
Let's try another take on this.
Look at her in this photograph. It is a dreadful, horrific mistake.

Re: Rammstein - one of my favourite bands. I saw them at Brixton last year and they were phenomenal (I just got Volkerball as well, which is very cool). I was a bit concerned about Rosenrot as I thought Reise Reise was not as good as the previous three albums, but it turned out to be one of their best.

Even Reise Reise has a few redeeming things. Personally, i like 'Los' and 'Amour' best on that one. And of course you know my favorite from Rosenrot, i used it right in this thread earlier as well as my last post to a Scent of the Day. Haven't picked up Volkerball yet because i saw the ripped 'Moskau' footage and don't like how it's presented. It could have been so ... right! But then a few things made it so ... wrong! I should offer to recut that for 'em.

cothukob not sure what the big deal is, you're allowed to your opinion but regardless of whether you think the model is sexy i still say they're ugly shoes. and you know whose gaze that photograph was taken for? mine, 'cause i'm the person that's supposed to buy them. so i'm glad you think the woman is sexy but they're just shoes, i can say what i want about them and there's no need to get so huffy about it.

The mistake is a mistake because it's so busy you can't tell what you're supposed to buy. Plus, the whole thing is kind of ugly, and no woman would say, "Boy, if I bought an overpriced Fendi thing I'd look like that! Wonder if he'd notice it on the Amex bill." The other ones are sleek and attractive and draw one's attention to the item being hawked, as well as making us think, "shit, maybe I could come off like that if I bought Fendi."
That's my opinion. But maybe you remember Dirty Harry's take on opinions...
