Who is this model? - Page 4
Question:
WHY are they sleek and attractive? I know why they are attractive to me, but why are they attractive to you? Reach a little more. Oh, and, haha! Yes, opinions are, indeed, like arseholes. Everybody's got one. I always appreciate your take on things, Vezerne. Answer: the compositions are simple and rather monochromatic, linear. The eye isn't bouncing all over. Actually, the nice ones could be ads for liqueurs, perfumes,or any other luxury items which pretend to impart an aura of luxe and sophistication. Beyond that I haven't time to analyze the "artwork". The blond in black is very retro, though, sort of beatnikish. -------------------------------------- On the other hand, what is the red photo advertising? Looks like fur floaties - those little inflatable thing that children wear on theirs arms to keep from sinking. Answer: Good. Don't analyze. Do you think maybe the worthy ones are those you can tell a bit about the model from? Like where she's been, where she's going? As opposed to some cheesy Prada take on things? Answer: Well, if they were not fashion models, maybe. But I've known people in photo and makeup and their stories make me think that the stories behind those faces probably aren't very interesting. but I can see that a man would be drooling. And paying for the Fendi shoes. Answer: They can pay for their own damn Fendi shoes ... and like it! Oh, don't look at the pictures as those of a so-called 'model'. Profession isn't relevant. It's a woman. A person. It could be anyone. What is it that's really important? Look at it that way. Okay, i have to take off for a few, good talking to ya. PS: Oh, i just wanted to add a few words about the "stories behind the faces" the way i see it. I don't want to type too much, but very quickly, my take on it is - a picture has a purpose. The model is the vehicle. If the vehicle didn't suit the purpose, a different model would have been used. Do you follow? I'd prefer to think of it as: the result doesn't have anything in it that wasn't already there. Of course, that's a bit simple ... I'm not looking for a fight, just conversation. All right then, what do you think of the four images i've just posted? The mistake and three that are worthy? i kind of like the mistake just because it's so bad it's kind of interesting;i kind of like the dress of the girl on my right too, in a trashy goth kind of way. i'm trying to figure out if the ADA is for prada or escada. i'm thinking escada 'cause it's so trashy but it might be prada being tongue in cheek . of the non mistakes i like the last one, the girl is wearing something so simple that the purse and shoe really stand out. fashion ads after awhile get so monotonous though . my favorite ones are the ones natalia vodianova does for calvin klein, and the only time an ad made me stop and stare 'cause i couldn't believe how beautiful the model was, was daria werbowy in prada http://www.geocities.com/dariawerbow...a/prada-20.jpg when i first saw that ad (back then she wasn't quite as well-known as she is now) i spent hours and hours trying to figure out who she was; funny, i showed it to a male friend and the only thing he had to say was "look at that sissy in the pink shirt" i think that was before frat boys all over the country started wearing pink polo shirts Answer: Werbowy, another 1983! What did i say earlier? A good year. You know, i'm looking at the link you posted, and my first impression is: there is something so very wrong with that image, i can't quite figure out what it is from a cursory glance. Something's off. I'll look at it some more. If she's 23, then that image has been processed to hell and back. Maybe that's what's got me all turned around. Honestly, Prada was the first thing that jumped into my head. I don't follow fashion at all, i just know what i like and that's what i buy and it's that simple. I pulled the first images i could conveniently find for my examples without doing any sort of research ... just don't have the time. I don't look at those photos from a fashion standpoint, they're something else for me. But i'll be glad to listen to any discussion on the topic ... heck, i could learn something. That's never a bad thing. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
