Question:
I believe if you're in the UK you can really appreciate this site http://seventypercent.com/home.asp please let us have some news and views on Chocolate Answer: Can one truly express one's feeling for chocolate in words? No, of course not. Often, inarticulate sounds express it best, especially in the case of some of these: http://www.zotter.at/chocolate-gallery.html Answer: Originally Posted by mysteriousmongoose Can one truly express one's feeling for chocolate in words? Answer: Love chocolate. There are many high cocoa chocs out there at the moment but most are not all that well made. In my opinion, you are hard pushed to beat Lindt 70%, though marks and spencer have some good ones too. In a slightly disturbing way, the Coffee-Plum with Caramelized Bacon concept is intriguing (http://www.zotter.at/376.html?&backP...sh=1085e06e65). Many of the options are clearly for the adventurous/those who care at least as much about the intellectual as the physical aspect of the experience. If you've already enjoyed chocolate that involves something other than vanilla as a flavouring, and additions other than nuts, puffed rice, raisins, cherries, etc., you may feel ready to give liquid olives (http://www.zotter.at/990.html?&backP...ash=1085e06e65) or the like a go. From a friend, I know that they sell this brand in San Francisco, so I'm fairly certain there must be retailers in NYC, and other large US cities too. If I was being offered a whole-bar freebie, however, I'd go for the Cherry Brandy with Marzipan, Blossom Pepper and Mint, Pineapple and Pepper, or the Rowanberry or Mountain Ash. These seem intersting without sacrificing actual pleasure, and would give some sense of how accurate the descriptions actually are. The rest--apart from the cheese-containing ones--I'd want to first sample in small pieces, or don't actually sound that interesting. I think that Zotter is comparatively reasonable, which is not necessarily the rule, as you may already know. Noka, for example is just a joke (http://www.dallasfood.org/modules.ph...rticle&sid=78), and is far from being an isolated case.
