D'ye like the way you look?
Question:
And, if you could have just one appearance-related wish, what would it be?
I'll lead off by noting that I'm actually happy with my basic appearance; I only wish I could obliterate every trace of disease and damage from my body... there isn't so much, but it'd be lovely to eradicate all evidence of three years intensive sun-bathing, and what some sort of recent rheumatoid arthritis thingie has left in its wake. Oh, and the residue of a twice-broken ankle, and wrist break that just didn't resolve themselves that well.

Hey, no need to wish those things away. They are simply "the ride of life"'s ticket stub. They are evidence of living, adventure.. experience, triumph. I wish that more cultures adopted First Nations (among other traditions)aging ideals.. viewing wrinkles, lines.. scars as indicators of wisdom/dignity.... and not something to avoid or remove.
I wouldn't change anything about the way I look. Because I'm really handsome? (not at all). I just look at my body as an expression of what I've lived.. good decisions, bad decisions.. it's all here and it's all real.

a. Oh, it's not the aging stuff that bothers me; the things I wish I could be rid of are not, alas, indicators of wisdom or dignity, but stupidity (sun damage, punching walls, being in the pit at a heavy metal concert; lost some joint function here and there) or bad luck (rheumatoid arthritis damaged knees... I miss being able to kneel and do aikido)

Mmmf, grbrg .... <unintelligible noises while i keep my mouth firmly shut with words struggling to get out>
PS: Why would you punch a wall? Unless it's a papier mache screen or sheetrock - you'd lose. Surely you knew that.
PPS: Did you like aikido? I really enjoyed "the way of the foot and hand" for some time.

Answer:
Aw, just answer the questions already!
Actually, I thought it WAS drywall, there just happened to be a concrete supporting column behind the particular bit I struck. A boyfriend annoyed me.
Still do like aikido, actually.

Should have done as i did, just write a protest to the embassy ... the pen can be mightier than the sword, err fist. No wait, that wouldn't work if you carried the same passports. Ah well, sorry about the tough break on the concrete.
How far along are you rank-wise?
PS: To answer your original question, i'd have to decide how shallowly to interpret it. At the moment anyway, i'm practicing avoidance by being here on the board. There is something i must do, but really don't want to. And besides, if i get myself in trouble, i'll have to extricate myself out of it. And that might be fun! <shrug> ... a man gets bored.

Answer:
No, I don't like the way I look. My face is okay, but my tummy never forgot the babies, and seems to holding the room open for a third.

Answer:
Where to begin? I'm pretty happy with my basic facial structure but always felt unhappy with my looks due to a poor complexion (acne, basically - not the sort that leaves General Noriega-style pits, fortunatley, but I always had bumps to cover. It started when I was 10 and as I got older it just moved down my face from my forehead to round my jawline). Sad thing is now, finally, it is getting better, with only the odd breakout, my face is starting to sag. I would love to get that tightened up just enough that I can enjoy having a handsome face for just a few years.
As for the rest, just the usual female bum/thigh anxiety. I can live with that, though - what I'd really want changed was to have all my sports injuries gone (knee trouble in both knees, right ankle/achilles tendon problems, chronic injury to right shoulder rotator cuff, oh and upper back pain from hunching over a computer all day!)
I had laser eye surgery last year, but now I want to fix everything else, since I can see it all in horrible focus!

Answer:
Actually I'm quite pleased with everything above the neck. It's just everything below that bothers me. But I do like my legs. If I could get just one thing fixed though, I think it would be my arms. I would just love to have some lovely toned and slightly muscular triceps and biceps. Not too over done like a body builder but sexy and strong.

Swimming for years and years has been very good to me,both mentally and physically.
