D'ye like the way you look? - Page 2
Question:
Of course I´m not 100% pleased with the way I look (which woman is?), but let´s say I´ve gotten used to it... My very thin legs bother me a bit, so does my thin hair. I could need to lift my face, too, bc I always look tired and/or angry. I´m very satisfied with my feet, though; they are really adorable. Answer: I'm ok...but not 100% satisfied. Not too happy about my belly...and maybe nose... Answer: I wish I was taller & not so bottom-heavy. I look like a pear w/ arms, legs, & tits. And I wish my face wasn't so acne-prone. If I had to rate my satisfaction w/ my looks...I'd give it a 6.5. Answer: I'm grateful with what I have and I wouldn't change a thing. But I used to really dislike the way I looked when I was younger - I was very geeky, had thick glasses and was a bit overweight. But, I'm one of those people with very good aging genes. My father is in his eighties and looks and is spry as a fifty-something. Too bad his mind is going, but that's another story Last year I went to my high school reunion (30 years since I started high school). Many people commented that I look better now that I did during high school -- I think so too. Most co-workers think that I'm in my late twenties -- I think it's the yoga that does it. Too bad, the internal workings of my body hasn't kept up. Answer: Personally, i feel this is an excellent thread. Look at the frank way the women are expressing themselves. Guys, those of you who've posted - props. More of you should be here. Castor, or am i mistaken? Swimming? Great sport. I learned how to swim in an olympic stadium. And i did what Americans would call 'intramurals', and i have a few things to remember it by, if i could only find them. Probably lost now. 1980 was a good year, too. I remember an African field & track who i asked the time of in a metro because i needed to practice English. As to me, i'd love to answer - but this is a very complicated question for me because of who i am. There are simply too many levels at which i could answer it. I will do something light. Before fixing the 'ravages' of time, i would fix the things time's not responsible for. Accidents. For example. Winters in Moscow are long and cold. There was a nice large flat space available in the projects. A bunch of us kids would grab some empty crates from the (empty-shelved) grocery and flatten a rink in the snow on the field. We'd turn a hose on it. It turned to ice quickly. We'd be out there all day. I was hit with a puck on the left foot. It broke the little toe on the left one. I never told anyone, and it never healed properly. It annoys me. Maybe i'll take a few weeks in a cast after surgery to have it fixed. Hard to say. As for me, I wouldn't change a thing... Well, I WOULD have eaten healthier, slept more, smiled more, laughed more... Drank less... Partied less... I suppose the list goes on.... And hey...we all have our "shoulda woulda couldas." I've done my fair share of drinking, partying, & not sleeping...and my health would be better if I had not done that, yes...but I wouldn't have all the awesome memories . Those are priceless, remember that! Answer: Originally Posted by musse I´m very satisfied with my feet, though; they are really adorable. That's incredible, Musse — for I too have adorable feet! Who would have thought it possible! (Now I know there's something special about Basenotes!) Answer: I love the way I look when I am eating right and exercising, neither which I been doing for a while. Depression causes me to shut down, over eat, and worry. I like my face, my salt and pepper dreadlocks, my hands and my eyes.If I could afford to I'd have the bags under my eyes removed. Clearly I've thought about this alot. Answer: I would say that I am happy with the way that I look. (I have no choice really.) I have been swimming, running, and playing basketball for the majority of my life, so I have stayed in shape. I did develop a bit of rosacea on my upper right forehead a few years ago. It just looks like I bumped it, nothing too serious. Taking into consideration the myriad possibilities of physical afflictions one could suffer, things could be way worse. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
