What is the BEST purchase you ever made?
Question:
It doesn't matter how much or how little you paid for it. What is ONE thing that you have bought that has made your life blissful since obtaining said object? For me, a back scratcher purchased at Walgreens I think for like a buck and change. I keep it here at my desk. Ahhhhhhhhh. Answer: A 60gb mp3 player. A couple of years ago. I had an I-pod, for a few years, for some reason I never really took to it. I bought a Creative 60gb player to replace it. Pound for pound the best purchase I have ever made. Answer: I'd have to say my house. Bought it for myself as a birthday present in 1999. There's nothing like the peace of mind you get from residing in/on your own property. His silence speaks volumes to me and helps keep me grounded. My car. Paid 4500 for it, secondhand, four years ago. 123,000 miles and still running. ugly as sin, but I consider that a theft deterrent It's nickname is "The Luvnest" (wink wink) LONG LIVE THE CORROLLA! Answer: Ever? I think I'd have to say my first car at 17. Freedom! Course I had a speeding ticket within two weeks Answer: It's a toss-up between my iBook and my black cashmere pullover. The iBook was a birthday present to myself, the pullover (super-heavy, wide ribs, funnel neck, I've simply worn it half to death but wouldn't dream of giving it up) a Christmas gift to myself, and both cost heaps more than I could really afford. I skipped the food. The iBook connects me to the rest of the world, and the pullover is my armour, my shelter, an extension, somehow, of myself. From an aesthetic standpoint, i find both perfect.
