earring(s) on a guy - Page 4
Question:
I've stayed away from this thread for a long time. Not because i don't have an opinion (hell, i have an opinion on everything, y'all should know that by now) - but because the only way i can answer it is to give psychotic imagery which might unintentionally offend.
First, i think if a guy wants to wear earrings ... more power to him. It's your self-expression, and i can appreciate it. I can find a way to appreciate almost anything. Except the model on page 43 of the British GQ, haha!
Second, i'd never wear earrings. I'll tell you why, and this is the bit with the psychotic imagery for which i apologize. Say you're in a less civilized part of the world (there are many such places). If it came to ... a problem, first thing i'd do is rip that shit out of your face. You will be in pain, you will be distracted, you will be at my mercy. You might even be disfigured. Street resolution of ... problems, isn't like the movies.

Answer:
Unless you're a pirate, it's a no go.
Have you seen Harisson Ford with his earring? It's just wrong man,....wrong.

Answer:
It's "The Guy"s choice, i'n' it!!??

You do sort of have a point; the few times I've seen women have a fight in the street, the first thing they did was take out their earings (I once actually heard one snarl to another "don't make me take out my earrings..."). Of course, one could wear them just to events where brawls don't break out with significant frequency. On the other hand, my sister did just this thing to herself, in a freak and (to me) incomprehensible accident involving her locker at work (incidentally, oh unpierced one, she barely felt it ).
But CoTHukoB, aren't life's little risks FUN?

PS: Of course, at the back of my mind is a concern that says the risks will catch up to me one day, but i figure that's just fate ... and so i don't worry about it too much.
