earring(s) on a guy - Page 3
Question:
I voted Never! Although I once considere an eyebrow and nose ear ring I realized I was being rebellious and cocluded it just plain looks like a panzi.

Answer:
I think it depends on the person. I've always felt a person should wear what they want, but somehow I just couldn't picture earrings on my husband.

Answer:
I'm not phobic, but I have a strong aversion to punching holes in me. The only time I'm stuck with a needle is when I'm sick. No tats, no piercings.
Some guys it looks okay on, but it wouldn't work for me.

Answer:
A female perspective:
Subtle earrings are fine. Lots of silver earrings are fine if the guy is a bit of a goth or rocker type. Cartilege piercings can be kinda hot.
Diamond/diamante earrings as sported by people like Will Smith and David Beckham are a big turn off, especially when worn in both ears. Guys, do you really want to look like J-Lo?
Stretched ear lobes with flesh tunnels are just plain disgusting.
As for other piercings, it's down to taste and the type of guy. But I'm in the belief that navel piercings are for teenage girls, strippers and porn stars and should never, ever be seen on a man.
nb I have three piercings myself, and have never touched my ears.

My cousin wanted a tongue piercing, but was too young to get it done without parental consent. Her parents ageed to go along with this, provided she got straight A's (this is in the U.S.) in the current term. She came close enough (one B) for my aunt and uncle to consider it adequate, and my cousin and uncle went off to the piercing clinic.
When my cousin was done, my uncle was nowhere to be found. Her call of "Dad?" was answered from one of the OTHER little rooms. He soon emerged, with a big grin, and lifted the front of his shirt. He'd got his navel pierced.
My uncles' stomach: round and, well... furry. DARK furry.
I honestly have NO idea WHAT that was about.

Answer:
Never in a million years.

Answer:
Why wear fragrance?
Why shave your face?
Why grow a beard/mustache?
Why cut your hair?
Why dress the way you do?
These are all matters of personal taste and style. I believe that people should be judged by their character and their deeds, not by whether or not they have a bauble on their ear.
BTW, I wear one earring, left ear. Why? Because I like it. It suits me.

Answer:
I worked at a vocational school that catered to the lower class---or whatever eupemism is used for lower class these days.
It was a " medical " school, which meant the poor bastids got 11k in debt to become a medical assistant (average starting wage? About $ 9 an hour) or a dental assistant (less money) or massage therapist ( $20 an hour! But unpopular, as they didn't get to work with doctors, dentists or in a hospital setting---just a spa)
These were the kids that dropped out of HS 5 years ago and were working in fast food or retail clothing--and earning zip.
They could not afford the time to go to community college and waste 2 years studying liberal arts, as they knew they couldn't continue to a BA and beyond; and would be back at Mc Donald's serving bugrers.
Not one guy in a hundred had a pierced ear.
It's a middle class affectation.
White kids dancing hip-hop.
Stockbrokers high-fiving each other.
A friend worked for a culinary school where the tuition was $60k (!)
It catered (no pun intended) to the offspring of comfy suburbia.
Starting salary?
Irrelevant.
Like fashion school, they were lucky if 1 in 30 got hired after graduation.
But these HS dropouts had traveled through Europe and thought it'd be cool to be a chef.
She said about one in four had his ear pierced.
No one wore earrings in both--- apparently it's considered a fashion faux pas.
Cheers,
Mario.

Answer:
It's not at all the same in the UK. Lots of working class kids are walking around in designer tracksuits with huge bling bling diamante studs in one or both ears. It's really silly.

Answer:
I have both of my earlobes stretched to 5/8 of an inch or 16mm I wear all sorts of plugs, wood, glass, stone, metal depends of the mood or event. wood is my favorite either gaboon ebony or zebra wood, or coconut.
