Never really thought about it. I guess it's one of those details that you might notice in context (matches other accessories she's wearing), but not much in and of itself. That's what I would expect women to think of men's cufflinks, for instance.
This is completely different if you've been with your SO long enough that what she's wearing was a gift from him.
