When do you consider re-purchasing a bottle? - Page 3
Question:
just got a mini of givenchy gentlemen..it should last me the better part of a year..if not longer .. i like it alot but it wont be a daily wear..its considered discontinued..but its plentiful on web sites..the urge to buy a 1.7 oz or larger hit me when the thought of it being "unavailable / hard to find" .. i understand this anxiety but have to put it in relative importance to other needs / wants.. one recurring signature lines on basenotes is something to the effect of..you can't loose what was not meant to be .. and the flip side to that is the old chestnut .. one door closes..another opens.. a host of metaphors are born in reflection.. I too keep decants of a few of my faves stashed away in my my bag @ all times. Answer: I've only got back-up bottles of Pi EDP and L'Air (100ml), for obvious reasons. Everything else that I own is fairly obtainable - I'd rather wait until I'm close to finishing a bottle before deciding whether or not to repurchase (and this may not be for a few years).
