Welcome to Live Dialogue !!!

I am craving snow
Question:
Spring came here but I am still unwilling to part from winter. Are there any fragrances which give you an idea of a mountain which is covered with snow? Does that make sense?
I wear both men's and women's fragrances.
It's my first post. Nice to meet you everybody.

Hello and welcome!!
I think of Himalaya by Creed when you say that. It's not very wintery, to me, but I would suggest trying it out anyway to see what you think of it.

Hi bird, welcome to Basenotes! This a a great forum.
I'm a neighbor of yours, just next door in Saudi Arabia ;-)
Unfortunately I cannot help you with your question. I'm rather new to all this myself, and so far don't have any scents that really remind me of snow or very cold weather. But I'll bet that somebody mentions Creed Silver Mountain Water or Himalaya very soon ;-)

noggs Hehehe, EnvYus mentioned Himalaya, & I was just gonna mention SMW .

Answer:
Bogner - Snow Man smells like snow, or winter air. I find it quite strange to wear it in wintertime, but in summertime it feels COOL.
L'eau d'Hiver by Frederic Malle is a refined fragrance with winter in the drydown.
Or Lorenzo Villoresi's Teint de Neige, very feminine and powdery though.

I would look into Altitude (2001) by Swiss Army or Infusion (2003) by Bombay Sapphire. Both remind me of cold crisp snowy weather.
Altitude by Swiss Army was designed to give the sense of being at the top of an Alpine peak, with dry, crisp blowing snow. I personally find it a little too dry but it definitely catches the sense of snow. Infusion by Bombay Sapphire I feel is a better choice as a fragrance. It is based upon the smell of Bombay Sapphire Gin, so if you want to know how it smells, get a Gin Martini made with Bombay Sapphire Gin. Himalaya (2002) by Creed is another option.
Of the three I suggested, Altitude gives by far the most authentic sense of snow but in my opinion is also the least wearable. I feel the coldness of it creates a distancing from other people. But if it is snow you want, check this out.
I feel the Infusion is easily the best option. It has a great cool, crisp feel to it but is not nearly as dry a cold as Altitude so people will find it very approachable. It is a fragrance which is hard to find, having been only available in Duty Free Shops as a gift with purchase of Bombay Sapphire products but I have been finding it available on Ebay at a reasonable price.
Himalaya is a nice fragrance but I just don't get anywhere near the sense of cool crisp snow from it that I get from Altitude or Infusion.

That's okay, bird ;-)
I read somewhere that if you don't submit a country name the software automatically puts the flag of the first country in the list, in this case Abu Dhabi. Well, technically Abu Dhabi is one of the emirates making up the United Arab Emirates, not a country in itself, but they do have their own flag.
I assumed that that's where you were from because of the flag, and also because it's pretty hot there and a desire for a winter type scent makes a lot of sense ;-)
Regarding the previous mention of Bogner's Snow Man, I'd like to comment briefly on my one Bogner scent, Deep Forest. It's not what you're looking for, but it is a very well made scent, a little bit unusual, and a very delightful surprise for me. I'd say just because of the excellence of Deep Forest that Snow Man should be well worth checking out.
