How does Gucci Pour Homme smell on your skin, need some feedback...
Question:
I went to Sephora's the other day, and smelled this out of the bottle, but not on skin, and anyway I'm a woman, would like to know on a man's skin. To me, it was woody with a touch of ginger & sexy. Have you tried it & what was it like on you? Thanks... Answer: I had a bottle of Gucci Pour Homme for a while and liked it but not enough to keep it. It was very dry and woody with a little bit of smoke. The primary reason I didn't keep it was it didn't have much longevity on me. I do sometimes miss it and think of getting another bottle but I've really got very little patience with poor longevity so I likely will not. Others report good longevity with it so it may just be my body chemistry. Answer: Yay, 500! On my skin, it smells like church. A bit sweet, but not sweet enough, and lots of frankincense and some woods is pretty much all I get out of this. Can't wear it. Some people say Comme des Garcons 2 Man is a rip off of this, on the other hand one might ask if Gucci ph is a rip off of some other CdG Incense scent.. or Messe de Minuit, or... Anyway, I like CDG 2 Man better than GPH, mainly because it has some sour notes and an overall brighter, less catholic smoke. I don't have it (yet), but - unlike with Gucci - I wouldn't feel like a cardinal wearing it. I think you should have a look at that one as well. Answer: GPH smells like LEATHER on me, I get NONE of the incense on me that everyone else seems to get. I agree, Comme de Garcons smoke note is MUCH nicer than GPH (CdG 2 smells like a pile of burning twigs out in a forest, with horses & saddles all around you) Answer: This has remained my icon for over half a year now. I love Gucci pour Homme It smells like dry, smokey woods and church incense on top of a strangly pencily note like dry pencil shavings. That is what it smells like on me... Answer: I've only skin tested it once, and I mainly got dry woods with occasional hints of pepper. Longevity was 'medium', and once it started to fade it had a rather salty 'sweat' sort of after-effect. Not necessarily a "bad" thing, mind you. Didn't really get any incense, though I could see leather, assuming it to be leather that one had been sweating in over the course of a hot day. Answer: I own this and like it a lot. Like you I get mainly ginger and some incense-like woods. I find it dry overall but to me there is a sweet element in the base which helps to balance it out and give it some richness. I like the drydown better than the initial stages. But it smells a little different to me from time to time while I'm wearing it, and I suppose that's one reason I like it. It's not boring. Sometimes I get a dominant cumin-like, or sweaty smell. Other times there's a strong whiff of ginger or some sweet, soft incense, or even a rich, butterscotch-like note. At other times all the elements seem perfectly blended and balanced. I find it a very interesting fragrance and I feel good when I wear it. noggs Answer: one of my faves...strong opening..pepper...then sweet smoke..incense perhaps..or dry wood .. in the reviews many have said pencil shavings--which to me is more of the graphite than the wood..i dont find that..but definitaly a dry wood smell..it lingers for quite awhile...may even "disappear" .. only to come back fresh and full...this one is fun to wear Answer: Well, when its cold outside and the sky is dark its time for Gucci PH for me;its a warm and solid scent that gives me a very good feeling sometimes. It does not remind me of catholic things or pencilstuff;for me its just a very natural woody smell that make me think of big old trees in a rough nature;someting like you see in Alaska however i've never been there. Isn't it great that a smell can make you thinking about such beautiful place's? Big grizzlys, salmon rivers and campfires and Gucci PH. So for me its a good one;way better as their new weak PH 11 release. Good day Answer: Well, it's just wonderful. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
