I didnt watch the show (was checking out headlines on Leno), but now that I think about it, Paula could be having one of those days where shes partially drunk or tries to be nice to everyone (even if it were Lettermans bad breath she caught a whiff of)

I guess Conan and Leno are more pleasant sorts. I've just always preferred Letterman, humor wise. But as I get older, softer stuff like Leno's schtick is more appealing. At 39, I've heard enough sarcasm for the rest of my days...but Colbert...NOW THAT"S FUNNY!
