SotD Thursday 8 March - International Women's Day - Page 3
Question:
I didn't know about International Women's Day. I don't know what I can do to celebrate---but I'm sure I can think of something! It's sunny and 45 degrees F. here with a predicted high of 60. A perfect spring day! I am wearing Jalaine's Gardenia for a treat to myself--think Philosykos with green petals and a hint of dry vanilla. It's so misleading--it should be called Sour Gardenia Stems! Man, I love it. Answer: I'm in Fleurs d'oranger today and think I smell gorgeous. Got a compliment from my estethician (spelling?) - she wanted to know what I was wearing; compliments are always welcome. When I tested Fl. d'O... the other day; I thought it was smelling weird on me; harsh in a way, and it made me sad, because I found both Un Lys and Tubéreuse crim. stunning. I had probably tested to much that day, and my nose was getting tired. Happy womens day! This day is perhaps not so important in the western world anymore; but there is a lot to be done about womens rights in other parts on our globe. Answer: L 'Heure Bleue in vintage parfum...ah!!!!!!!!! just can 't stop sniffing my wrists! FDO is harsh on my skin in the winter but it 's the most beautiful sexiest fragrance in the summer, I hardly wear anything else in the summertime. same for Tubereuse Criminelle, I love it in the spring summer but by cold weather it 's not the same at all, the top narcotic notes are too strong. I think a lot has to be done to change mentalities for women even in western countries, about representation in politics, workplace opportunities, even in Hollywood! tired to see older men dating much younger females all the time like it 's so natural and the other way round such a taboo! Answer: Hmmm, International Women's Day...Yeh! I think I'll wear my decant of Carnal Flower Answer: Originally Posted by musse I took the liberty of wearing Fracas in public, on this International Women´s Day. Counting myself as being a feminist, I find it somewhat embarassing that there still is a need for a special women´s day. I was early out today, and the main street in our little village was decorated with pink and red balloons to celebrate the day. Right on, sister! We shouldn't need to highlight our segregations. I suppose these are the semi-dark ages, and eventually we'll simply see all people as equally precious souls. On the other hand, I'd love to see your festive little town and the pink balloons (girls do like pink, ya know ). I'm grateful to have that postcard you sent, musse. Holding off on grabbing any Guerlains, I'm wearing La Chasse aux Papillons with Nouveau Gardenia. Answer: In honor of the late Annick Goutal on International Women's Day, Passion. Answer: Calypso Christian Celle Vanilla Answer: Hi! I'm wearing Attrape-Coeur today. Answer: Vétyver Oriental (2002) Serge Lutens Aomassai Parfumerie Generale Not sure I should be here today but as long as I'm here... Congratulations to all.
