Hey guys, a friend of mine totally loves Miami Glow by J-Lo. I might admit it does smell amazing on her. Id like to recommend to her a more refined, or even better/similar smelling perfume. Something higher grade.
What should I recommend?

The way I see it, if your friend likes Miami Glow by J-Lo then she is very lucky to like anything at all and you should take full advantage! I don't see how you could get more 'upmarket' than that, considering how much money J-Lo actually makes and has.

I love Miami Glow and intend to get some someday and I also have some more expensive perfumes. Where's the problem? Is it that you don't like it? I understand that compromise can be hard at times.

Like all interests and hobbies, when your first purchase usually isnt the best purchase. If you dig deeper you can always find better stuff. This goes for movies, music, books, etc. There is alot more than what mainstream can deliver.
Her bottle is running out and she is interested in trying something new. SHe saw an ad for some Paris Hilton perfume and thought she would give it a try.

The problem is that there are so many to pick from. It would be helpful to know something about her likes and dislikes, what she does, or is like, maybe her age, her price range. Is she the frilly type, all business, seductress, etc.
Why not take her to a nice shop and the two of you make a day of it and sniff around. Test it on her skin for sometime. See what she really likes. Maybe get some samples?

I tried checking other perfumes based on the notes of JLO MIAMI GLOW and didnt find anything.. thats the main reason for posting. It seems very unique.. I will buy some samples for whatever you guys suggest

I secound Miss Dior Chérie. I find it a good first perfume for trying to like more complicated perfumes.

You might want to try Creed's new Exclusive Virgin Island Waters, You can sample it at a Neiman Marcus or order a sample. It may be a little pricey, but you have not said what you want to spend. Whoops! I just noticed you don't live in the states, but you should be able to order a sample at least, and if you like it a bottle. It should be out soon.
