Your Top 3 Scents Without Staying Power - Page 2
Question:
L'Artisan Dzing! Seriously, this is the only scent that hasn't lasted more than 6-8 hours on my skin. Most fragrances (even the ones that others claim have poor longevity) last very long on my skin - I just don't know what it is with this one. (Yeah, I'm lucky with a good skin type where most fragrances last at least 8 hours) Answer: Millesime Imperial, Silver Mountain Water, and Erolfa. It's a shame because these are all nice scents. With a few exceptions, the Millesimes don't last any longer than 3-4 hours on me, which is pathetic. Answer: Dzing didn't last long on me either. But SMW had plenty of staying power on me, like the GIT did. I keep wondering if there aren't Creed fakes being mentioned here. I can't imagine either of GIT and SMW that I tested being short lasting on anybody's skin. Renato Answer: Hermes D'Orange Verte (even the concentree) L'eau Par Kenzo Gendarme V Answer: Let`s just say Gucci Pour Homme. Answer: I don't have a whole lot of scents (neither a whole lot of sense according to my kids). Three that are disappointingly ephemeral are Creed's Baie de Genievre, Cuir de Russie, and Original Vetiver. They smell utterly fantastic at first, but last only a couple hours. Baie de Genievre might be my very favorite if it weren't for its short lifespan. I have considered just carrying a small vial and reapplying every couple hours, but that seems kind of excessive (not to mention obssessive). Maybe my middle-aged skin is just too dry. I tried using an unscented moisturizing lotion prior to application, as per basenoters suggestions, but it had no noticeable affect on longevity. On the other hand, Creed's Bois du Portugal, Vintage Tabarome, Green Irish Tweed, Dunhill's Edition, and Guerlain's Vetiver last nicely and they all smell great. Answer: Bvlgari PH L'Instant Baldessarini Answer: Boos to Jicky, in top place. In second, a BN fave: Voleur de Roses A surprise third: Santal de Mysore Answer: Well, I've learnt something from this thread - Hugo Boss does appear to make one short lived scent, and it's his most expensive one. Renato Answer: Carven Vetiver Eau Sauvage Jicky EdT I love all three of these guys -- even though they're 98-pound weaklings... Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
