Question:
As I already said in previous post, I got lots of Creed samples yesterday.
After some testing sadly I don't find them that wonderful at all!
Actually, I find scents by Guelain, Chanel and especially YSL much better and way more distinctive!
Is that my taste haven't developed enough yet or all the Creed-is-so-classy buzz is a bit strained in fact?

No they arent.

You should move onto SergeLutens and L'Artisan now. After that, try samples from Bond no. 9, Frederic Malle, and then Penhaligons.

You are brave to ask that question? Personally, I like several Creed frags. It just depends on your personal taste. There is something for all of us on the market. Creed is a great house to learn and sample I believe. Just trust your nose whether it is Lacoste, Boss, or Creed. If you like it, enjoy it!!

I just find fragrances like Kouros, Egoiste, Heritage, Habit Rouge much more interesting that the ones that Creed makes, independently of what the 'Creed' title sounds like to the people

Sure I will give them a try during the next week!
And about other niche fragrances - I've tested most of the Dyptiques, some of Viloresis and several Lutens and noone of them impressed me much
So, that could probably be just a problem of my undeveloped taste.
Still I adore Kouros though, which as far as I understand is meant to be quite controversial here at Basenotes.

The main thing that I'm trying to say it that to me personally most of the niche fragrances (such as ones by Creed, Lutens and others) are not that distinctive as the fragrances by luxe brands like Chanel, YSL, Dior and Guerlain.
By the way, I suppose all the Penhaligon's scents lack sillage as they're all in eau de cologne concentration.

No, except for a few exceptions, Creed scents aren't really that good. There are a few that are really nice.
