I have to ask as a newb, but why would anyone want a scent with massive sillage? I mean isn't it cloying announcing your presence a mile away? Isn't subtle and close to the skin the way to go?

I'm not trying to disrepect anyone here, but I'm asking cause I don't know. Depends on the situation and what's going on. In a work setting I never wear Jaipur. But if I go to a formal party or go out on the town then I wear it. Sometimes you just want to announce yourself and show off your good taste in frags and sometimes you keep it personal. Just my opinion.
Another sillage monster, as much as I despise it, is Escada Magnetism PH. I wore a full body spray of that stuff once and about made a little girl on a train vomit from the sillage. Not only that, but it's a powdery scent to boot. Sucks the oxygen right out of the air I tell ya

I once walked completely around a New York City block on a calm summer day and caught the end tail of my massive and long sillage of BdP!
