MPG Racine - A worthy citrus/vetiver? Longevity? - Page 2
Question:
I promised an update when I received my Racine. Got it this afternoon and although I only sprayed twice before going to get a haircut, it is just as described by everyone on this thread. Wonderful stuff. I can handle this vetiver much better than I did Guerlain Vetiver. I suspect it was the tobacco in Guerlain that my skin could not abide by. I will add a little more after a full wearing in terms of my thoughts, but I am happy to have it in my drobe.

Answer:
I've gone through a few samples of this one. It's good isn't it. I agree with everyone that it's very close to Guerlains one, without the tobacco.
Compared to Route du Vetiver this is , for me anyway, easier to wear, while the Route du Vetiver , was more a down to earth vetiver.
I really had to get used to wear the Route du Vetiver, but in the end I swapped it. I liked the Racine samples though.

Answer:
OK. I wore Racine to dinner last night and enjoyed it alot. It strikes me with that familiar MPG vibe, but I like that. It feels very sophisticated, but not overtly pretty at all. I got about 5 hours out of my wearing and that is acceptable. It is listed as unisex, but it feels very masculine on the drydown to me. Like zztop said, it is an 'easy to wear vetiver', but doesn't hide the vetiver to the point where it presents itself as a citrus frag.
I can't wait to wear this one in warmer weather.
