Guerlain Imperiale Cologne
Question:
at Sephora on line they're asking $73.00 for 3.4oz NIB same deal on ebay at a trusted dealer - $18.95 unreal Answer: Fragrance Direct has a tester for 10 quid. Long live the free fragrance market Answer: Quite frankly, I'd get it at as low a price as possible. It is terribly short lived but a good traditional cologne along the lines of 4711 or Extra Vielle (I think Extra Vielle is better). I still have to try Du Coq which sometimes I get the hankering for. K Answer: Imperiale and Extra Veille are a little similar having neroli at heart and being generally more orange based. Extra veille is a little sweeter (for an eau - still quite dry) and also has considerably better persistance, while Imperiale has a longer lasting faint base with a little tonka as well as rosemary and is somewhat drier and more austere. Du Coq is very dry and definitely lemon as opposed to orange based, lighter and more brief. It is however, outstandingly elegant. It is best to buy Imperiale at a low price so you have no qualms about spraying freely and enjoying one of the best fragrance experiences available . If you like Eau de Cologne, that is....
