Not similar to me. Ungaro softer & richer to me, although I like both. Drakkar lasts longer but in my opinion is not as universally accepted by others as Ungaro - maybe because it's been around so long people are tired of it.

Well, of course Drakkar Noir is something very different from Ungaro III... different times and men, different social target. Drakkar Noir is targeted for teens, I guess.
What is very interesting though, is a resemblance for Ungaro III, and an unusual close one... with Himalaya. Which is, of course, a little more refined and discreete. But the same orange...

I have both. I think Ungaro III is more lush, tangy and "juicy", where as Drakkar is more dry and musky. Ungaro III is very sharp upon application, but drydown to something warm and a little humid. I also get the smell of grapes. Not white grapes, but big plump, dark red and purple grapes that are very ripe and very luscious!!!
Ungaro III is one of the most unique scents out there, but I still long for the long gone Ungaro I. Bring it back PLEEEEZE!!!!!

Not that I have anything against Drakkar, but UIII is a far more refined scent. I find it to be a very classy cologne that I consistently get praise on.

They both smell similar.. Id say that Ungaro III is kinder on the nose!!

I don`t think they smell similar at all.On me Drakkar lasted longer than Ungaro III,but i much prefer the Ungaro.
