What has made you the most nauseated? - Page 17
Question:
Marilyn Mignin's Pheromone. Got a sample yesterday and tried it. Blech, it smells like public bathroom with disinfectant and metal on me. Must smell better on others, cause it's been around awhile. Couldn't scrub it off, couldn't hide it. Hope a nice shower will cause it to disperse. Answer: I'm sure there are alot of fragrances that do, but I really don't want to get into insulting too many people. The few I will mention are: Knowing by Estee Lauder, and Phermone by Marilyn Miglin, don't like Safari by Lauren either. Answer: I'm with Leslie - Eternity is my worst offender! Answer: I had to pull up this old thread because I found a corker yesterday. I was browsing through my mother's perfume drawer when I found a brand new bottle of Armani Code and I thought I'd give it a go. The fact that it was at the back of the drawer should have been my first clue to the horror which I was about to inflict upon myself. This smelled like rotten oranges which have been left to ferment and turn to alcohol. Even worse, it WOULD NOT COME OFF after a swim, a shower and about three arm washings. I feared that I was forever doomed to smell like the half-empty bottle of orange juice left in someone's hot car for a week or two. What a nauseating, unwashable, undying, Rasputin of a fragrance. I told my Mum about it later and she said "You shouldn't have sprayed yourself with that, it's worse than flyspray". Maybe we share some genetic thing that just clashes with this frag. Answer: I tried that one a few weeks ago. It reminded me a lot of Alien (quelle suprise - the primary ingredient is jasmine) only without Alien's interesting edge. Faded quickly, too. One that nauseated me recently was Black Orchid (Tom Ford). I wanted to like this one, but oh dear. I got an initial floral burst, followed for a moment by chocolate, and then a whole lot of patchouli. It wasn't bad, but far from bottle worthy. However, later that evening I kept getting wafts of musk whenever I lifted my hand to my face. Now, I do admit I have a problem with musk. Not all musks - I can wear Poison just fine, and I have on Musc Ravageur today, and am enjoying it - but certain musks either make me feel sick, or make me feel like I'm choking. Black Orchid is the former. I don't hate the perfume, but that dry down bothers me a lot. Not for me, I fear. Answer: I saw this post just after I sampled from a vial of SL Gris Clair... Something about this fragrance is just vile and disturbing. I have to keep sniffing my wrist to see if it is as bad as I thought the last time, and I am becoming more nauseated with each sniff. I just can't put my finger on what is so disturbing about it though... I am very taken aback by the fact that most of the reviews in the directory are either positive or neutral. So far, this has been perhaps the most vile abomination I have come across in all of perfumedom... blech!!! Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
