Take CK one..and water it down.. powdery, fresh.. not at all distinctive.. nothing shines through..no citrus... nothing.
It's a fragrance that will "not" offend... and several girls I know love to smell it on a guy.. but it bores me to no end...

I like Weekend a lot.
It has great lasting power and good output from what one would, at first sniff, expect to be a fairly light scent.
Great for warmer weather.
I'm not sure why this one is apparently so disliked. I can think of dozens of niche scents with a third the lasting power of Weekend, most of which would be universally applaud around here if the same question were asked of them.

I agree on this. I received several comments when I would wear Weekend. This is actually why I've stopped asking if such and such cologne smells "good or bad" to those here on basenotes.
Let's face it, there are alot of snobby noses around here that dont give dept. store frags the time of day... try to get your hands on a sample and test it out for yourself.
Smells of Lemon and Honey, very strong, good sillage.

One thing I would highly recommend is when asking this kind of question, to look at the wardrobe of each person that replies. If you see a wardrobe that is stocked full of scents you dont like or care for, then dont put much stock into the other persons reply. For instance, I love fresh scents, cant live without them... Not so much with Oriental scents, so I'm more proned to give a negative review of them.
It's very possible that some just might not care for this "type" of scent in general. Says more about their taste than it does the actually scent in question.
