New Armani Fragrance - Page 2
Question:
I've always thought that Armani has put out great colognes. AdG, Code, Night, and Mania were all good scents to me. I've never owned any of them, but I appreciate what the house is doing to get everyone away from AdG.

The lovely Véronique (a dead-ringer for Michelle Pfeiffer!) has confessed that this fragrance is absolutely fresh, hot and totally unique all in one. A huge hit with attendees, this is a complete departure from everything Armani. She mentioned that it was totally irresistible, addictive. I asked her about the notes but she was too busy to get the class notebook out. Oh well, we'll just have to wait....
Will report to you as soon as I get my grubby fingers on it.
Can't wait! Do you know by any chance what the bottle looks like?

- Rich Yet the Armani rep at the Macy's here tends to say that all the people seem to come back to AdG once the novelty of, say, Mania wears off (pun intended).
IMO, Acqua di Gio is the fragrance equivalent of a Volvo car or a Dell computer: boring, but safe. No wonder it's been the #1 selling men's fragrance in the USA for nine years now. Still, I'm looking forward to trying Armani Attitude... but I'm afraid that everyone else will wear it in a nanosecond like what happened with Armani Code.

Answer:
How many SA's will confuse "Attitude" with "Altitude" by Davidoff? "Don't give me Attitude, I wanted Altitude!"

Answer:
True dat manicboy...and also how many people will end up with the wrong fragrance at Birthday time, Christmas, etc...because someone goes to the counter and asks for Altitude and the SA brings them Attitude or vice versa, and the person buying the gift doesn't know the difference.

Mania, Code, Attitude... what's next? Armani Hysteria? Armani Paranoia? Armani Schizophrenia?
Although, I must admit that I've been enjoying my decant of Ambre Soie... They still have plenty of room!

Answer:
The bottle is very neat. It's a slim lighter style bottle that has a flip top and a black art deco style base. It comes in two sizes 50mL and 75mL and I found the scent very warm and rather different from most of the other Armani fragrances. The ad visual is a black and white profile shot of a shirtless model in a "thinker-style" pose.

Answer:
Sounds like many have already trashed this scent and its not on the counter yet.....There seems to be this hatred of designer scents....I didn't get this feeling when I first came in contact with Basenotes.
I have both Niche scents and Designer scents.....I like both....I would never put all my fragrance eggs in one basket.....I think that's a Big mistake.....I'm looking forward to this and many other designer scents.
