Question:
Bought it at the Creed boutique in Paris (Ave. Serbie off George V Ave.) in July. To my nose, it starts out smelling like gin & tonic. Next, I detected a coconut accord, which seemed to stay with it thru the drydown. So, if you like a dose of suntan lotion with your gin & tonic, it may just be your thing. Personally, I would prefer just the g&t.

Must say it does sounds nice and perfect for summer.
Maybe it is what Aramis Bermuda Tonic & Obession Night should have been, I like the idea of a boozy, powdery coconutty fragrance.
However, the tendency is clear here, Creed comes out with new, a bit more edgy and obviously highly synthetic or cheap ingredients (or maybe this is imperial coconut-oil harvested by specially trained Creed monkeys i a remote island paradise???) and charge the same as for their earlier premium stuff. I guess Erwin is a smart/cynical business person that just takes every chance to further commercialize and capitalize on the house´s heritage.
And the bottle does suck. Still looking forward to trying it though...

On the topic of Marine, I tried Mare and found it too similar to Bulgari Aqua's "soiled diaper" accord - Erolfa is king of marine for me, still !

I think you're onto something. We talk about trying to cut back on purchases, and failing. Instead, it may be easier and more fun to set up some kind of reward system, like treating yourself to a Creed after achieving something good.
