How much does it cost you on a daily basis?
Question:
My collection ranges wildly in price. Some of my favorites only cost $25 per 100 ml. Several are $150 per 100 ml. The most I could imagine using per application is 1/3 ml., but sometimes I'll wear another selection for the evening. My guess is I'm at about $0.50 per day for my habit. What about you? This is a great thread. As is the case with you, there's a large variety in prices of my scents. All of them were retail, though, so that adds up. Taking all of that in consideration, and I seem to apply about the same amount as you do, it must cost me about $0.50 per day. Answer: I seem to justify purchases by "cost per wearing" or "cost per day", which ordinarily wouldn't be a problem if I weren't living paycheck to paycheck. I have a small collection compared to some Basenoters, and I have enough perfume to last me about 5 years with normal usage. I spent approximately $1,250 on my collection (again, a pittance compared to some of the collections I've seen on here), only counting bottles that I currently own and not counting decants. So I guess that's 68 cents a day. Answer: Regularily I don't buy more bottles than 3 a year, abot 50$s each. Though I have lots of samples, together it may not be more than 200$-s a year, so I voted 0.5$ a day. Answer: Going off the market values of some of the rarities I've managed to get at bargain price I'd say in excess of $1 a day, but going off the actual price paid, less than $0.50. Answer: Wait - how much does it cost me to wear fragrance on a given day? Much less than what I spend on average on fragrances per day =) I would guess less than $0.25 without stopping to do calculations in terms of what gets worn. I like to wear my fragrance fairly discreetly though. I spend more than $2 per day on average though (even considering last year all I bought was a 0.25 oz bottle of Jicky parfum - I have times where I buy a lot, like more recently, so it averages out.). Hence my collection just keeps growing, in spite of giving some away to friends, family, and even strangers. Answer: Some say they have bottles that last for years...anyone keep track of how much they use in a given time frame..say a year.. if you spend $200 for 5 oz of product...thats 40 per oz..if you use an oz a year it would cost .22 cents a day giving that as a base..you can figure out your own cost it would be surprising to see how much we spend/use in a given time frame... Answer: Using the ratio of 10 squirts per 1ml of fragrance, I average about 1/3 of a ml per application and usually do 1 application per day, occasionally 2 applications (one in the morning and one in the evening) if I'm going out for the evening. The average cost of my fragrance collection is about $0.50 per ml. So I would guess my average daily cost averages $0.20 per day. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
