My cologne freaked out and had an identity crisis!!!
Question:
So I was wearing Montale's Fougeres Marines today at the gym. I sniffed my wrist. Eh, I thought, it's a little too sweet and fruity for me. Why is this called "Marines"? Bah, this is mediocre for a $200 scent. I did some dead lifts and had a drink of water. Then I sniffed my wrist again. AND IT SMELLED LIKE THE OCEAN!!! No fruity sweets. It was like Bvlgari Aqva without that seaweed note. Much better, but still no $200 fragrance. Anyway, I looked at the clock. An hour and a half after I applied, Fougeres Marines freaked out and turned into a different fragrance completely...in the course of about 45 seconds. Does this happen to anyone else? I have to say it was kind of exciting! OR was it just my brain playing tricks on me? Answer: I can follow this including the ocean bit, but that 45 second turn - NO! Maybe you bought an FM Extra ! I only pay ca. $95 for 100 ml, the same as it would be in Paris. Answer: Well, it's only a sample, but I see prices on various websites up in the $200 range for most of their frags. And yeah, I swear it was really that short. Maybe my brain just switched from detecting fruit to detecting salty sea notes because that's what i WANTED it to smell like. I dunno. You're probably talking about the Aoud Line from Montale, those go for about 200 USD on various sites, and I think Aedes has them at 210 USD. Luckily, I can take a 30min drive downtown and get a 100ml Aoud bottle for 170 CDN. FM is part of the Aromatic Line from Montale, those go for a lot cheapr. I don't know how much but about 120 CDN for a 100ml bottle at this local shop I know of. Answer: USA retail for the Non-Oud's, FM being non-oud is $ 135 for 100 ml, $ 95 for 50 ml Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
