looking for white flower fragrance
Question:
Hello,
I am looking for a fragrance that smells like the white flowers from the bushes, I think its the elder tree. It resembles the flowers of the linden tree, but is more sticky like. In summer you can smell it al lot and I really love it. It's a bit overpowering, but lovely.
Apres l'ondage from Guerlain and L'Artisans tuberose come close, but I miss the bit wich is present in Cacharels Eden. It's hard to describe what I really mean, but that is the difficulty with fragrances. I would really like to have a perfume with that kind of smell.
I am looking forward for the reactions.
Greetings from Holland.

Answer:
Actually I'm noticing a lot of white flowers in bushes around London - they are small, star-shaped flowers and the bush is dark green. They smell fabulous and almost honey-like. I wondered what they were too, if we're talking about the same thing (I know they are not tuberose!)

Jo Malone French Lime Blossom
Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey
Bond No.9 Chelsea Flowers

Answer:
CREED Love In White
The inspiration for Love in White came to Olivier Creed whilst strolling in the Fontainebleau forest just south of Paris on a bright, crisp day early in spring.
“All the blossom was on the trees, the white narcissus were flowering, the sun was shining and I could feel winter lifting. It all looked so fresh and optimistic and I thought that this is how love begins, with everything to experience and anticipate, the beginning of something beautiful.”
Love in White is a gorgeous bouquet of white flowers combining the first blooms of spring (Magnolia, Narcissus and White Hyacinth) with Fresh Grass on a base of White Iris from Florence, Rice Husk, and Vanilla to add depth and longevity.
The result is a sensationally fresh, creamy, floral composition, full of energy and optimism.
Try it before you buy it :-)

Fleur de Narcisses

Those are a few that come to my mind immediately...check the directory here for reviews, I love them all...

Answer:
Diorissimo smells like a real lily of the valley and hyacinth

Answer:
I second Creed Love In White and Diorissimo. Creed typifies to me the true white flower scent. Elizabeth Taylor's Gardenia is of course - very white. Another - that is fairly cheap and you'll either love or hate it - Revlon Charlie White.

Answer:
Well I'm trying Ava Luxe Gardenia Musk today, which is (surprisingly for me as I didn't think I was a flowery sort of person, let alone musk!) absolutely lovely.
Interested to smell Kai now, although I don't think I can get it easily in the UK.
I'd also be grateful if anyone thinks they can identify the flowers I'm talking about - small, white, star-shaped (sorta, the petals are more rounded) with yellow centres (a bit like a daisy) and on a plant with small but thick green leaves. They smell very honey-ish and lovely.

Answer:
Carnal Flower by Frederic Malle. A contemplative tuberose.

Steve

Answer:
I now realise what I'm seeing/smelling is actually jasmine. I always thought jasmine was yellow because we had yellow jasmine in the garden when I was growing up. I'm a doofus.
