Most bottles and/or boxes have a code stamped on them somewhere but they all use their own coding system. You'll have to contact each individual manufacturer and try to get their help.

if you like cryptography you'll love deciphering each company's coding sytem. It usually fairly unintelligeble.
you'll see their codes on TV if theres a bad batch but actually I've never seen this with a toiletry.
