Question:
Knowing and Jil Sander #4. Kumquat gave me a bunch of cool samples, many of them that she thought I would like and many vintage scents. Oh, my, what a wonderful collection she has. Today I am going to talk about Jil Sander #4, which is like a softer, sweeter version of Knowing in some ways. It has the same woodiness, the same tuberose, moss, patchouli, and musk. But it starts with a fabulous green opening note, and then a beautiful peach or plum fruit. The vanilla in the drydown is it's main difference. Knowing is more clear, with emphasis on the patchouli, while #4 is creamy and much more vanillic. Both of them have a nice, soft finish, with Knowing being more powdery and long-lasting. I have loved Knowing for a long time. It is strong, though. If I overapply, I get a bit of a pushy, overdone, chemical smell that drives me crazy. Kumuqat introduced me to a fragrance that smells similar, but without the danger of overdose. Very nice. Answer: I'm wearing Jaipur Homme today. It's a "sex bomb" and it will be perfect for watching venus and the crescent moon tonight ... Answer: I am wearing Diorella today... sniffed a few scents at the airport but I have done enough damage to my credit card. I will behave and will not spend anymore money. Answer: It's overcast and snowing here again today, and SUBLIME seemed like the perfect remedy. Happy Sniffing everyone! Answer: Borsari 1870 - Acqua Della Macchia Mediterranea A sample scent by MUAer genieg. It's one of the most unusual scents I've ever worn. This is going to take a bit of sniff and study.
