Question:
Just wanted to get your opinions on this...I've worn Bond No. 9 Hamptons for a quite awhile now and love it, but I was in Banana Rep. the other day and sampled the Black Walnut and was really impressed. I'm 27 and like a real trendy style but also somewhat classic as well. Banana has long been my wardrobe choice. I wanted to get your thoughts as to which of these is the more "sexy" scent. I like that Hamptons is not as readily available but then again, Black Walnut is only sold at Banana stores...To tell the truth also, I'm not crazy about the way the Bond No. 9 bottles look...a little too loud. I loved it at first, but it really seems to clash with our bedroom decor (per my wife, ha). Initially I like the scent of Hamptons more, but the Black Walnut seems a little more smooth and distinguished. Thanks for any opinions.

Well, comparing these two is kind of like comparing apples & oranges in that they smell NOTHING alike. They're both very nice. When I smell Black Walnut, though, I think it would be appropriate to wear on an evening date, or even to a club. When I smell Hamptons, I think it would be a good daytime scent, good for brunch at a trendy cafe. If you're going for "sexy" I would probably choose Black Walnut. This one seems like it would be a good "cuddle" scent .

I haven't tried Hamptons, but I did sample Black Walnut and rather liked it. Someone here said it smelled like an improved version of Tommy Bahama, and I'm inclined to agree.

Black Walnut is excellent. I haven't tried Hamptons, so I can't really say. But Black Walnut, again, is excellent.
