Right wrist, left wrist...
Question:
A curious observation I always make about the way scents dry down on me is how absolutely different each one smells on different parts of my body. I'd expect this sort of thing between... oh, say, spraying on one wrist, and then spraying on the elbow, for example, seeing as the elbow generally holds the scent better. Or even between elbow/ear/wrist/whereever, depending on (I suppose) the different body chemistry makeup in each area. But does anybody else get two fairly different scents on their wrists?
For example - I sprayed Coco Mademoiselle this morning, and, by the afternoon, it had dried down to a very crisp floral on my left wrist and a darker gourmand (something like L'Instant) on my right. I hadn't used any other perfumes, nor scented body products - anything of the kind. It also happens fairly regularly with most of my fragrances for no apparent reason. With spraying the actual L'Instant, for example - grassy on my left wrist, very sweet on my right (after drydown).
I can't be the only one, can I?

Answer:
Nope, haven't experienced the same fragrance smelling different on separate wrists if I sprayed them at the same time. I normally don't spray anywhere else, and it's quite difficult to sniff behind my ear.
Perhaps you are using a different nostril to sniff each wrist?
Sorry, just had to be cheeky and troublesome. too much wine tonight.
cheers!

Answer:
Only when I haven't used a bottle for awhile & the juice has half evaporated in the sprayer. Then the wrist I sprayed first usually picks up the lighter notes in the fragrance & the other one has the stronger notes dominating. All other times, both wrists smell the same.

Answer:
Same as you I find scents smell differently on different parts of the bod but have never tried a comparison between right and left with the same frag. Makes sense - different energy paths and so forth.
Will experiment today with SotD ( Chergui) and report in!
(BTW - adore your avatar!!)

Answer:
Hmm. I've also never tried comparing the same scent on different wrists. Half the time I'm such a scent ho that I've got different fragrances on either wrist!
I definitely agree with you that a scent sprayed on one part of the body won't smell the same as on another, though.

Answer:
I used to think that my left wrist smelled stronger for no reason until I realized that I hold the bottle with my right hand, spray my left wrist, and blot the excess onto my right wrist.

Answer:
I know from my testing adventures that fragrances sprayed on the underside of my wrists and arms smell different to those sprayed on the backs of my hands of upper forearms. The first time I tried Fumerie Turque it was on the back of my hand, and smelled sweet and inoffensive, with little staying power. A week or two later I tried it again on the inside of my wrist and peeeee-yoooooo it was strong pipe smoke! (Not that I dislike it, but the difference was like night and day!)

Answer:
I find that my right wrist is not good for testing because it picks up the scents that have accumulated on the padded wrist rest on my mouse pad unless I avoid using my computer.
