Post A Picture of Your Scents - Page 20
Question:
Thanks Dimples, yours is nothing to be sneezed at either! Im curious - what is the frag in a bottle looking like green/black cut crystal in pic 3 of your collection? It fascinates me. Also, in the last pic, Id like to know how you, erm, 'spray' the hairy one Too cute for words! Answer: Oh, the one with the pointy top? That's Givenchy Ange ou Demon. It's a fairly popular one over here since it released last year. I don't think it is widely available yet. It's one of my very favourites in the winter as it is an oriental-floral. From osmoz: Top note : Thym Blanc, Mandarine, Safran Middle note : Orchidee, Ylang Ylang, Fleur de Lys Base note : Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Pallisander wood, Oak Absolute The bottle is beautiful. It's made to look like a piece a chandelier glass. It is actually clear on the bottom and black at the very top, with the colour (shades of black, picture looks a bit green) becoming more saturated towards the top. The hairy one gets her scent when I rub my freshly sprayed wrists on her little belly. It drives her crazy as you can well imagine.... but she's gotten used to it. Answer: Thanks dimples. Its a gorgeous flacon! I have not yet seen it hit the shelves here in Odense, but I'll be sure to take a sniff when I come across it. I feel a hole burning in my pocket and the Mrs and I are considering going to spend easter with friends in London... and to buy perfume of course! Answer: Not close to the biggest(likely among the smallest at basenotes as I only started 4 months ago), but I tried to do something a little different to make up for it via presentation. Not the greatest effect, but I kind of like it. Answer: tajoh111, you seem to have very good taste my friend! One question though, why oh why did you put Creed and Chanel next to Armani? Perhaps color coding would be more uniform? Anyways, point is, very cool display idea! Keep the addiction my friend! - Rich Answer: I just shuffle them around so much that I like to keep larger area fragrance at the top for some reason. THe rate I have been purchasing has been so rapid its hard to keep things static, so basically my rule is to put the most used stuff at the front. And all the smallest bottles on the bottom. There is so much variation in bottle colour it is really hard to coordinate them on only three shelves. I used to have under 20 fragrances at about christmas time. With the stuff coming in the mail I will have 45 very soon. That around 2 a week now that I think about it. This is madness. I honestly keep telling myself I got to take a break, but man at this rate I will have to get another armoire. Answer: You guys have alot of foreign fragrances ive never even seen before O_O. And I thought I was a pro at this kinda stuff. I give credit where credit is due. Ive also noticed a kind of trend that alot of you dont have I guess you could call The "Mainstream fragrances" that I have pretty much being sold at the bay or sears. You guys are fans of lacoste and what not? My favorite is Hugo Energise. Answer: im not against the mainstream product... if is a great fragances wont be a problem to be popular (well, maybe not so popular like AdG ahahah). hugo energise has some notes that really like... but doesnt share great opinions on the forum, anyway,. feel free to share whatever you want with your fragances! Answer: MJ, I was just pondering the strange variety of scents that our brothers outside of the USA have. I shop American online suppliers and they do not carry the scents whose names are mostly all in French. I'm sure they're fantastic, but unless they start selling like crazy in the USA, we won't see them for sale in scentiments.com, scentmonkey.com, perfumebay.com, etc. My collection is much like yours, mass market -- but good of course.
