Were Jaïpur Homme and Dior's Hypnotic Poison separated at birth? - Page 2
Question:
I just posted on Jaipur homme. I suppose that dispersed in an atmosphere the size of Jupiter's it might smell......pleasant...but on Earth it was, for me, nauseatingly, cloyingly, powdery....got a jumbo bottle, never wore it, traded it.....god bless...:-)

I always try to get a 1 oz. of anything new. There is a 3.5 bottle of YSL Opium Pour Homme sitting in my fridge, that, like Cher, is waiting for someone to take it home.

Answer:
Ruggles, I know, I know, I know, I know......like I posted before, ya know, it's the allure of the rave review. Oh, by the way, I love OPH, so maybe we can make a deal, huh? HAH, you kill me with that Cher comment.....

Answer:
All I got from Jaipur was vanilla baby powder. Hypnotic Poison is a whole different beast. HP is very much my favorite.

I have a bottle of HP on it's way to me that I'm very excited about. When I sampled HP last week, it was like floating up to paradise. Vanilla and almond are ecstatic notes for me.
I do admit Jaïpur is a bit bourgeois, but for me, it is also sublime.

Answer:
I don't smell much similarity in those two: JH is warm and spicy, HP bittersweet almond overdose. Love the former, loathe the latter.

Answer:
Yeah, but they are both vanilla based fragrances and I think that the heliotrope in JpH and the bitter almond of HP are very similiar notes. I love them both.
