Philosykos v. Premier Figuier Edt
Question:
Philosykos v. Premier figuier edt. I wanted to ask - which one you like better and why? Which one is less powdery? thanks Answer: I don't find either one powdery!!! They are both designed by the same person, Olivia Giacobetti. I own both and they are very, very similar. I think Premier Figuier has more coconut in it. I also find that Philosykos to me, feels more...simple and straight forward. Either one would be great to own. They are strange and very, very green smelling like broken twigs or crushed grass. Wonderful. I don't smell fig fruit but the leaves. Answer: I prefer Philosykos because its fig note smells a little more clean to me. Premier Figuier seems a bit more "colored" by the other notes. They're both great though. Answer: I'm with Teflondog on this one; I much prefer Philosykos (and I don't get powder with either of them). Premier Figuier is excellent, and I like it a lot, but Philosykos is near-perfect for me. Olivia Giacobetti came up with Premier Figuier when she was only 21 years old, and I do wonder whether she made a conscious decision to revisit the main note when she was a little older and more experienced (heresy) in Philosykos; I find it an exceptionally faithful rendition of the whole fig tree: leaves, fruit and milky sap, all in one. Answer: i own both, but Premier Figuier is my favorite of the two. For me it's something i feel i can reach for in summer or winter. The green/coconutty dimension work for me in warm weather and the sandalwoody base keeps it cozy for cooler weather. Philosykos on the otherhand appeals to me only in the warmer months when i feel it really shines. in the cold it seems kind of shrill and one dimensional, in the heat it just comes alive for me. neither i would decribe as powdery. just my 2 cents. Answer: I'm for Philosykos, too - uncanny, almost unmediated fig, the greenest of greens, lush and sappy and chlorophylly. But it's a Giacobetti, so on me, there's scarcely a trace of it after two hours. Olivia! Such sweet torment! Wearing your amazing fragrances is like spending an unforgettable night with someone, and waking up the next morning to find only a heartstopping love note on the pillow next to you. . .but no phone number.
