I think there are two kinds of fragrances that need to be distinguished here:
Firstly, genuine "F*ck me scents". (Moondeva's Sailor scents!) These are scents that are soooo sexy that men — strange men — are immediately made to think about sex. For me these are Tresor, by Lancome, Lolita Lempicka, Cuir de Russie, Opium, and (I know it is an odd one) Tommy Girl in serious strength. (I think from the descriptions I would find Tabac Blond seriously sexy, but I haven't sampled it.) And I really like things to be at least EDP strength: I like to really notice a beautiful perfume.*
Women here, and probably generally, have a big preference for the classic Guerlains and Chanels, but I think most of these are not really sexy fragrances. They are classy, tasteful, and aloof. To me they speak of prestige, rather than sex: they are a little frosty, like diamonds.
The second set of fragrances are those that reach out to someone who you already "know", and will scream sex to him. These bring in a much wider group of fragrances and depend very much on you and the man. But here the Guerlains and Chanels come back into play.
*Personally I think that Angel is too played out now — I smell it on every other teenage girl at the mall. It is getting to seem like a Barbie fragrance.
