A day without scent Good luck and don't scratch too hard! Answer: TGIF!! I am so sorry for you both, itching and scratching ladies - hope you'll get over that soon At first, it didn't wow me...I kept getting references to several of his other scents....but eventually, the maestro took over and I caved in....so I am wearing Rousse today! Answer: Madame X body lotion as a base for Carnal Flower....mmmmmmm Answer: I'm wearing Ambre Sultan today. Answer: TGIF everyone! ::Hugs:: to my poor, itchy scent sisters! And Sestra, enjoy Orris Noir -- isn't it lovely? I find it sits very close to the skin on me, so I feel like I've got a delicious little secret all day. Though I keep doing the "Basenotes Salute" (elbow forward, wrist to nose) continually, and sometimes end up getting the most inappropriate urge to walk up to someone (co-worker? Perfect stranger?) and shove my wrist in his/her face, asking, "Isn't this GREAT?!?" Today I am playing with Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab's Clio perfume oil. Clio is the patron of historians, epic poets, biographers and all those who wish for fame, reknown, and celebrity status. Notes listed by the BPAL folks are warm, dry parchment, lavender, heavy woods, patchouli, benzoin, orange and amber. Loving it so far! Answer: Heard on TV and Tinker confirmed it that the northern part of the country is still under the blanket of snow. Ridiculous! For Friday the 13th, I chose EL Estee. Answer: Blanket of snow is right! I'm going to pull my Black Cashmere over me one more time, and then burst out in florals tomorrow for our delayed Sniff 'n' Speak. Remember to join in, everybody--especially you lurkers who haven't started posting yet. Answer: Un Amour de Patou for me today. And it's in my hair! I could cheerfully drown myself in this stuff. Answer: Sisely Soir de Lune today. One of the new Chypres, it has interesting "circular"development, juxtaposing several combinations of opposing notes: pimento/rose, peach/honey, citrus/moss, patchouli. The wearer alternately picks out combinations of notes, over and over, focusing on the salty, floral, sweet, sour, earthy aspects of each. My favorite aspect of this fragrance is that it does not cater to the "immediate likeability" factor. Rather, it sits back and asks the wearer to consider its attributes.
