I had quite a few I sent to my girlfriend & now I wish I would have kept them. I'm very impulsive, and don't realize, that my tastes or moods can change, and I could like them better later on.
I gave away: Nu to my Doctor
Casmir to my friend
Black Cashmere- friend
Patchouli- Molinard-friend whaaaaaa....

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want them back, but what makes things worse, is she didn't really like them, and I don't think she wears them either, if she did, I wouldn't feel so bad. They were not cheap either!

When I give fragrance these days it is always a new bottle.
Years ago I gave a back up bottle of Venezia to a friend only to find that I could not replace it at all. Fortunately it was a truly loved gift and she had as hard a time with the discontinuation as I did. But despite the fact that she loved it I regretted my generosity and feel pretty bad about that too!
Mostly swaps and gifts have been positive experiences. My latest swap was trading Floris Malmaison for an older bottle of Cristalle. A happy trade for both!
She got rid of an unloved gift, I got rid of a blind buy and least favorite carnation!
