Fragance with Class - Page 3
Question:
Here are some recent threads on similar topics, they include some great suggestions. I wouldn't go near Amen or Obsession - way too sweet. /showthread.php?t=190614 /showthread.php?t=190617 /showthread.php?t=190374 ged Answer: You say you want a fragrance with "class"? L'Homme Sage by Divine Everyone can go home now. Nothing to see here, g'on! :-) Answer: If by "class" you mean displaying dignity and sophistication, then I suggest Creed's Green Irish Tweed, Montale's Black Aoud (applied VERY sparingly), MPG's Iris Bleu Gris, Boucheron's Jaipur Homme (EDP), Amouage's Dia, Serge Lutens's Daim Blond, and especially MPG's Santal Noble. Come to think of it, apply any of these rather sparingly - I feel that dignity means entering the room before your scent does. I'd try to stay away from the very sweet stuff or the overtly suggestive (A*Men, Pi, Jicky, Musc Ravageur, Ambre Sultan). If, on the other hand, you mean snob appeal, pick a fashionable designer fragrance, preferably one advertized in the Robb Report, Travel & Leisure, Vogue, or one of the other widely read lifestyle magazines. Then apply enough to ensure that the scent is easily recognized, so that people can wonder about how much you spent on it ;-). (LOL.) Answer: While Bois du Portugal is a clear winner, and definitely smells of success, it smells nothing like either of the fragrances you mentioned. I would go with Jaipur by Boucheron. It smells fantastic, exudes success, and lasts for hours. Heritage would be my first choice for cooler weather. For warmer temperatures, Riverside Dr. and Wall St. from Bond No. 9 exude class. Also, try Creed Erolfa for warmer weather. Hello, First of all a good quality eau de toilette in 2007 is affordable by EVERYBODY and it is CLASSLESS. In my opinion the majority of the "high places" people sometimes choose very simple and discreat scents - they normaly dont have to prove how "high in society" they are because they are HERE. An expensive "powerfull" scent can be so vulgar especially if worn in high sprays. I would not choose Obsession or Amen (even if Mrs Clinton wears it) not a sign of refinement in my opnion. This is just an honest reply - I think Eau Sauvage is Classic and I would stay in this line - discreat and refined. Laurent Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
