Madini Oils; Review--Great Sillage on a budget - Page 2
Question:
I just looked at your questions here. I will consult Purplebird. The website I found was the one with the 6ml size. I completely overlooked her saying it was '$30 for 15ml'. I will ask her about it.

Answer:
My mistake.
Thank you, kumquat for calling.
It is 6 ml for $25. I will go correct my post.
Still, it figures out to about half of what you would pay for most pure parfums on a per-ounce basis.
There are 29.5 ml in an ounce,l so that makes it $123 per ounce.
Compare, for example, to $250 for Guerlain or Chanel.

Answer:
These oils are stronger than usual, and all natural too.
Check this out. Says it better than I can.

A little does go a long way. Sorry they aren't super cheap as we thought at first. Still fun to try 5 samples for $10 with an order, I think. Otherwise it might be $5 more for shipping.

Answer:
Thank you, kumquat, for putting a twinkle in our day. (I think I shall now refer to you and Purplebird as our Nebaska Noses.)
And, yes, the new avatar is exquisite, Tovah!

Answer:
Would that make us Big Red Noses?

Answer:
Honk if you smell fabulous!!

They do sound wonderful. And I'd love to give them a try. But, $15 for 3ml & $25 for 6ml seems a little steep. I don't have any experience with perfume oils though, so maybe thats a fair price? If you'd like to get in on the samples that are making the rounds, pm me and I'll add you to the list. I've got them in my hot little hands right now!!
The experience here so far: Chypre: Don't believe the name - on me this beauty is honeyed vanilla and white flowers with only a whisper of green. Very round and elegant, like the classic French ones. Sits close to the skin but has great sillage. Hanane dries down to Je Reviens on me!! Notes are galbanum, roses, jasmine, sandalwood, clove, patchouli and balsam. Beautifully composed, it's on my hit list right now.
Just love these Mandinis!!!

Answer:
Thanks for all the wonderful reviews and information, ladies! These oils sound fantastic. I'll definately have to give them a test drive.

And thanks so much for offering to add me to the sample list, Taolady. PM sent!

Answer:
Hanane is Je Reviens? Cool! That's one I've only had in an inferior mini and had the feeling it was completely off.

Answer:
I've tried most of their scents over the years and these are the ones I bought in relatively larger sizes (3ml and the no longer offered 4ml bottles) and didn't swap away: Musk Pierre, Autumn, Vanille, Ambre, Baraka and Musk Gazelle. Their lasting power is AMAZING!!. They're also fun to use for layering purposes - especially Vanille and Ambre.
I really must say that the customer service is excellent too. If you are having trouble deciding what try, do give them a call; they'll very patiently guide you toward what you might like. And, where else can you return a bottle of oil after trying it if you want to exchange it for another scent?
