Panama 1924 by Boellis ?
Question:
Does anyone know this one? I have checked the board and its mentioned only a few times and it wasnt ever reviewed here. Boellis is a traditional barbershop in Naples and offers a range of high end shaving products. The fragrance seems to be a mixture of citrus, vanilla and tobacco, at least thats what their homepage says (Italian only):

Has anyone tested it and could give me a short description?
Thanks,
Christian

Answer:
Hi costello,
did you see this went dirt cheap on ebay a few days ago. I was not quick enough to get the gift set for 35 euros which costs 145 at Aus Liebe zum Duft. Dang. It's supposedly all natural. Anyway, I'd be interested in any info as well.

Answer:
I tested it a while ago. Lot's of lavender and vanilla. Didn't notice a lot of tobacco. It's a lot like "Le Male".
Basically it's Gaultiers "Le Male", without the gay sailor bottle.

Answer:
Boellia Panama is a clone of Versace's The Dreamer. It's a tad less sweet and the tobacco is more up-front. They sell it in Takashimaya in New York. It is a great fragrance, but you can always find The Dreamer for $15 on the internet as opposed to Panama's $95 price tag.

Answer:
I have a sample lying around, it's very, very sweet. Probably too sweet ....

Answer:
A very brief blast of citrus and sharp lavender. The lavender immediately takes over and quickly becomes vanillic and sweet, like Caron pour un homme on steroids. After about 5 minutes I start to register initmations of tobacco. Now it reminds me of Fumerie Turque without the smoke, but even sweeter.
Funny that lavender would not be mentioned in the official notes, it is much more prominent than the nanosecond of citrus. This is a fragrance both sharp and sweet, well made, but not my style and with a certain headache potential. My sinuses are collapsing already from a quick spray on the arm. Well, I got the whole bottle for 8 Euros, so that's OK.
Edit: it does become better behaved on the drydown. A "Le Male" for distinguished gentleman, perhaps?
