It seems to be a sort of crap shoot - some get prompt replies, some never hear. You need to pray to The Perfume Goddess!! It's well worth it - the juices are delectable. I've had the same experience as Sestra, Wavering and Taolady. I received two samples within a month and really, they are to die for. I haven't yet met a Malle that I didn't like.

Then I deliberately avoided it for weeks because I did not want to want it so badly.
Tonight I slipped and am wearing it in full bloom and loving it. Surrounded in a snoogly distinctive cloud of tuberose with a silky undercurrent of coconut. Yum.
. I hear you on this onoe rtamara. This is definitely full bottle worthy and when I'm in NYC next, I'm stepping into Barneys to get myself a big one.

Answer:
I filled out the questionnaire and was emailed suggestions; then following the advice of Basenoters I emailed back saying that unfortunately I had no access to Frederic Malle here in Vancouver--and included my mailing address in this email. It seemed graceless but I'm sure they all know what we're after when we're filling out their questionnaires. Within two weeks I received two generous samples and a lovely handwritten note, as well as some product & pricing information.
I'd order from them in a heartbeat, the minute I decide which of their fabulous creations I want. What a beautiful change from the ladies at Holt Renfrew!
Then I stupidly gave away my sample of La Perfume Au Therese, because a friend liked it very much and was feeling blue. I don't think she wears it at all. What is the etiquette in stealing back samples? I know where it's sitting in her bathroom!

Answer:
I have to admit - I think I'm afraid of trying the Malle's because I think I will like them too much and where, oh where, am I gonna find the $ to buy them...
I remember reading many reviewers and perfume bloggers kind of saying that the Chanel Exclusifs and the Hermes Hermessences were in 'competition' with each other but that the Malle's were pretty much in a class by themselves. When I read that (I own 5 of the Hermessences...) I got very afraid of trying them.
I have to say that Carnal Flower and Bigarade Concentree I am just obsessed about trying...

I have to say that Carnal Flower and Bigarade Concentree I am just obsessed about trying... Be very afraid!!! I'm just real glad that they don't sell them where I am. Otherwise, I would be sunk!

I have ordered full bottles from them since. I have found them to be very nice people to deal with, and the service is excellent. Yep, me too. The people were lovely. And I have since bought Iris Poudre and L'Eau d'Hiver at Oswald Parfumerie in Zurich where the nice lady gave me a sample of Fleur de Cassie to try.
Dangerous stuff, the Editions de Malle. So damn good you could spend a fortune on them.
Hey ho.

Answer:
thank you everyone.
Yep, Tiphaine emailed me with recommendations that sound so wonderful....And asked if I was near one of the stores, which I am 2,000 miles and an ocean away from, so I sent off my address and am praying to the perfume goddess that Tiphaine will send some samples for me to test out. I rarely buy bottles of anything except it I really love it, and then I will and have splurged big, but without sampling I have never purchased anything.

Answer:
That's good news. Which two were recommended for you? Mine were Noir Epices and Fleur de Cassie. My latest proper purchase was a
bottle of Musc Ravageur.
