Best Chocolate Scent - Page 3
Question:
Both HM and especially A*Men pale in comparison to Cannabis Santal. Answer: If it's a really good choclate scent, then why in God's name is it called Cannabis Santal? did someone in a meeting come up with this or did the boss shove this name down the marketing departments throats? Answer: Originally Posted by Ruggles Serge Lutens Borneo 1834 will make your friend a chocolate lover. It's not a milk chocolate experience, but the fragrance of real cacao. Regardless of its name, he's right. Cannabis Santal is to me the best chocolate based scent i've ever smelled. A*men smells like the cheap stuff whereas as this is luxury. A bit like how Lindt chocolate smells in fact. It really lasts as well. I've only worn it twice so far but on the first time i could still detect it slightly on my wrists after 24 hours. Inevitably, when chocolate or sweet comes up it is a perfect opportunity to take a shot at A*men. A*men includes chocolate in the scent but it is, imo, not meant to be the focal point of the scent. It is so much more than chocolate and has a wonderful multifaceted drydown. I understand how someone may dislike this scent if they have had the misfortune of overapplying or smelling somebody who has done just that but nothing about A*men strikes me as cheap. Cannabis Santal is a pretty good scent but to me smelling like a true 60% cocoa and above chocolate my vote would have to go to Borneo 1834. The only problem with most of the suggestionse is the chocolate ends up playing an adjunctive role as other notes end up being more prominent in the drydown, patchouli being the star in Borneo 1834. The scent that comes closest to having chocolate stand out throughout the whole fragrance would probably be Mat; Chocolate. CSP cocoas and chocolovers also have chocolate throughout but it reminds me more of the "scratch and sniff" version of chocolate. Answer: I'm actually waiting on a decant of Mat Chocolat. How well do you find it lasts? Answer: Thanks for all the feedback. I tried Rochas Man today, and I like it better than angel men. It's like my favourite part of angel men without the wait in the beginning. On top of that my girlfriend is a coffee nut, so it wins bonus points there. I wanted to try hanae mori as well, but it looks like I can't sample it locally So right now I still don't know which to lean towards. The suggestions were great, but some were a little bit too pricey for my wallet. I'm also wondering how Ava Luxe's Luxe chocolate is. Anyways, for those of you who have tried both rochas man and hanae mori EDP, which of the two would you say had the most prominant chocolat note? On my skin, Hanae Mori. But don't listen to me, spritz one wrist with Rochas and the other with Mori and wear them for awhile. Determine which chocolate note is most prominent on your skin. Answer: chocolate in bois d'argent? if you like borneo, incidentally, jalaine patchouli has nearly the same fragrance Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
