B*men not discontinued?
Question:
Not sure if this was discussed, but I was talking to a Mugler rep today and she said that it wasn't being discontinued, which I think is a good thing. Answer: Maybe they're just moving to reduced distribution, such as YSL apparently did with M7 Fresh. The later was readily available in Stockholm when I visited last fall. Answer: Maybe she was misinformed. Everything I've seen says otherwise: Joel Palix (Thierry Mugler Parfums' president) said to a trade journal last month that "B*Men didn't meet expectations, so it will be discontinued". Likewise, in November 2006, I e-mailed Melisa Alexander (the consumer relations rep for Thierry Mugler Parfums/Clarins Fragrance Group USA)... she said, too, that it was being discontinued. Answer: Personally, I think they sold the formula to Armani to use in Armani Attitude... when I went to go test Attitude, I swore he sprayed B*Men on the card. I'll have to give it a full testing, but as far as I'm concerned, Armani Attitude and B*Menn are really quite similar. Answer: I wouldn't be surprised if distribution was limited or if they discontinue it. I saw a bottle of it at a discounter...TJ Maxx (or it might have been Marshalls - same thing) Answer: Originally Posted by MisterK I wouldn't be surprised if distribution was limited or if they discontinue it. I think the Armani was a little weaker, but I have to wear it to see. Answer: I hope it's not discontinued. It's an awesome and unique scent. I would argue one of the best of it's time - though perhaps not for everybody. It's just fantastic - arguably MUCH better put together than Amen. Amen may be great for clubbing or whatever, but it's composition is really quite clumsy. I don't understand the affection for Amen on this site, while Bmen is so disparaged. Completely agree! Attitude is a B*Men copy. Didn't stick around for the drydown though. Makes sense considering Creed copied Mugler Cologne with "Original" Vetiver. Waiting for an A*Men copy that tones down the Chocolate, hehehe Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
