No comments on Burberry Summer???
Question:
Saw this at Sephora today. Suprised nobody's mentioned it including our British contingent. It's not even in the directory?!?!?! Seems to be an average citrus/fresh concoction. Big let down if you expected more from Burberry. Anybody have any thoughts? Answer: I have always expected the highest of Burberry, and this is one of two from them that has severely disappointed me. The first one was the new London. This is your average aquatic, with a nice fresh opening. - Rich Answer: Sounds boring, but thanks for pointing it out, I'll try it at Heathrow next week Answer: I briefly gave this a sniff @ Macy's. It seemed nice on the strip. I'll give it a shot on my skin next time I'm down that way. I don't really have high expectations, though. Is this just a seasonal, limited edition scent for this summer? Answer: This is a rather boring (albeit nice) aquatic. Crabtree & Evelyn Nomad is far better if someone wanted something along this line with better duration. Answer: I tried it when it first came out and thought it was horrible. It has that real "cologey" type of smell that you've smelled a thousand times. Not for me ... Answer: I LOVE this stuff....very nice IMO...lasts a good 6+ hrs on me. Answer: I got to try this on my latest local Macy's sniffing trip. I was looking at other stuff, saw London, and said, "BTW, do you have Burberry Summer?". Oh, I guess I didn't actually say "B-T-W". It had just come in and he opened it up just for me. But I'll have to admit, I was quite underwhelmed. I'll stick to Brit and London, thanks. For me the interesting thing was Armani Attitude. I generally have trouble with Armani scents; my skin tends to drink up and dispose of them with amazing speed. But I really liked this one. Some freshness without being cloying, yet a nice woody underpinning with an amber quality. After smelling it, I was pleased to see that my general impression was related to Sephora's description. He also had a newish Kenneth Cole. RSVP, maybe? Since I didn't even remember that, you can tell that it impressed me a lot. Dave Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
