problems with scentiments
Question:
So I orders opium from scentiments.com as well as versace dreamer. My package arrives today and I find that instead of sending me the EDT they sent me the after shave lotion. Then I spray my versace dreamer and the only thing versace dreamer about it is a few of the base notes. I was under the impression this website was credible and a safe place to buy.

Answer:
Please let us know how they handle your complaint after you contact them...thanks.

Answer:
It appears to me that scentiments is going downhill. I suspect that it may have been sold. I had spoken with several customer service reps there along with one of the higher-ups, and all had American dialect...Now it seems that when I call, I get eastern-sounding people. I had a similar negative experience with them recently, but they remedied the situation without too much of a fight.
They didn't grind the dates and serial numbers off of the Creed bottles before, now that's what they have.

Answer:
I have also noticed that their Creed prices have gone up.

Answer:
I will be going there this weekend. I will let you know if the owners are the same.

Answer:
Hi Scentronic- Can you please elaborate on the below. I was thinking about getting a flacon of Vintage Tabarome from them. Is this something they actually do?

Didn't Creed recently raise their wholesale prices? I think I remember reading that somewhere.

I don't think it's Scentiments themselves that grind off serial numbers etc. I think it may be their various suppliers. I've bought about 8 different Creeds from Scentiments and have been extremely happy. Yes, my Silver Mountain Water had the lot number ground off of the bottom rear of the bottle and replaced with a small piece of white tape. It took me two weeks to even notice it. And as some have mentioned, some of the bottles have dot matrix printing on the bottom that says "toilet water" etc. It seems that this is how most grey market Himalaya comes up. Yeah, some of the boxes have the dates cut out and some don't have dates at all. Again, it's probably not Scentiments themselves doing this. These boxes/bottles are probably like this when Scentiments receives them.
It seems like this thing only occurs with certain Creeds. For example, my Néroli Sauvage that I just bought from Scentiments has a date (2005) and all the serial/lot numbers intact. Same with several others.
Also, I understand concerns with fake/old/bad Creeds myself, but I can say I've bought 8 Creeds from Scentiments and they were all in perfect shape. Also, I received them all very quickly and in wonderful condition.
Plus one other thing specific to Creed. I saw this on another thread--and it KILLS me every time it comes up. When you see for example Himalaya, then whether some website calls it an EDP, an EDT, or a Millesime-it doesn't matter. it's ALWAYS the same thing. Nope, Creed doesn't make Himalaya in differing strengths. Himalaya is Himalaya is Himalaya. Now whether you personally think Creeds are too weak to be EDP's or whatever-- it isn't the issue. Creed only makes one concentration of each scent. End of story.
Good luck!

Answer:
I too just purchased a bottle of Neroli Sauvage from scentiments. The box is marked as a 2005 and nothing has been ground down or covered up. Shipping was fast and the bottle was well packaged, so I have no reason to distrust them. Hopefully they'll correct the mistakes for you. Can't always be perfect I guess. Keep us updated.

Answer:
With all the fake/grey/blackmarket Creeds,I wouldn't mind saving my salary towards getting the real thing at Neiman Marcus or Aedes Venustas, just for peace of mind and won't be worrying later down the road.
