SL Chene?
Question:
I find the description of this fragrance attracts me,but have never tried it myself.I love the woody, earthy smell of Mitsouko and scents like this in general. Those who have tried this, how's it like?Resources online where you can get decants of Chene?

Answer:
I think Chene is the dries fragrance I've ever tried. I didn't get *any* sweetness from it at all and that made it a bit difficult for me to wear. Of all the Lutens I tried, to my nose this is by far the most masculine. Chene didn't make me think of a beautiful mystery forest that some refers to in their reviews, it made me think of a billion chopped up trees. I think it's a beautiful but difficult and a quite sad fragrance.
I bought my sample off eBay

Answer:
There are a lot of SL wood-based scents so there is bound to be one you fall in love with. I'm also a Mitsouko fan, and I absolutely love Miel de Bois, but the honey is *very* loud and this is definitely one of the sweeter ones.
You can probably find decants and samples of the exclusive Bois scents, and Chene, on eBay or on the sales and swaps forums here.

Answer:
the problem with decants is that a lot of them are aldultered or watered down, everytime I read reviews that sound off it 's people relying on online decants.
try to get a sample from a friend if possible.
Chene is really that mythical german forest, radiant and dark, comforting and mysterious, it has a healing soothing power on me, very contemplative, it s unisex, it wouldnt be an everyday scent for me but I do crave and reach for it when in the mood.

Answer:
Dragonfly has it on eBay right now and I have found her to be one of the impeccable decanters. I would not buy Chene unsniffed, but having tried it once, I know I will be buying a full bottle when I can. It is, as everyone has been saying, not at all sweet. I find it oddly grounding and comfortable and unlike many of the SL woods, the cedar is not that assertive on me. It isn't girly, but a dryad might wear this.

Answer:
Sounds promising Sometimes I find that I'm craving not sweet stuff.Very often when I don't like a fragrance it's because I find it too sweet.Love natural smells like wet soil and the woods in autumn...But then again,I adore Chergui f.ex so seems I really enjoy both
