Favorite Jasmine Perfume?
Question:
We have a gardenia thread about twice a year, let's talk JASMINE! Any favorite's? Answer: Hi Tinker424, Jasmine is one of the few florals I love along with Orange Blossom. Chanel 5 is about Jasmine. I have a lot of orientals with a little Jasmine like Samsara so what I do is buy essential oils of Jasmine and add a drop when I want. Answer: I am not a fan of predominant jasmine perfumes, but the best jasmine accord for me was in the drydown of Feuille Verte by Creed (limited edition). Answer: Montale Jasmine Full and Andy Tauers Le Maroc pour Elle. Love them both Answer: straight-up jasmin de Grasse! LOL I 'm not a fan of animalic jasmines like A la Nuit or Jasmin de Nuit unless it 's brillantly blendend with other florals like Fleurs d 'Oranger (white rose, green tuberose, white jasmine, orange blossom). jasmin de Grasse (the purest of all natural jasmines) is only used in extraits of Chanel No 5 and Joy/1000 ...the Grasse jasmine is more predominent in Joy. I only like hedionic jasmine if used in conjunction with natural ingredients, my favorite is Diorella, a masterpiece floral chypre by Edmond Roudnitska (hedione, citrus, peach, oakmoss, vetiver, sandalwood). Answer: I'm with JdeG on Diorella - but also Jasmin Imperatrice - Ayala's Moonbreath - and Jasmine Full. But when all the cards are down - it's Joy!!. (And did y'all read Tigs' tidbit about the etymology of Jazz being a reference to the Jasmine perfume worn by ladies of the evening in early 20th century New Orleans!!!) Answer: I have always thought that Patou has some of the most rich jasmine perfumes , both Sublime and Joy are something to be amazed by, well at least for me it has been that way. They are not the purest of the bunch, there are many jasmine soliflores that might be better suited if you're looking for something like that, but i most of the time, with this note, i prefer to be chased, tickled, seduced and humbled, and that's what a heavy quality jasmine note can bring in a more complex scent. Answer: I used to LOATHE white florals until I tried two amazing perfumes: A La Nuit by Serge Lutens Songes by Annick Goutal. I have full bottles of the EDP of both scents, and I swoon for them every time. They're amazing. They have intoxicating scents that are like wearing fresh garlands of flowers on a deliciously warm summer night. Totally intoxicating and addictive in a very good way. Answer: A la Nuit Answer: Quote: Originally Posted by castorpollux I have always thought that Patou has some of the most rich jasmine perfumes , both Sublime and Joy are something to be amazed by, well at least for me it has been that way. with 10600 flowers* Joy is the highest concentration of jasmin de Grasse * an ounce in extrait de parfum Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
