Question:
I was sittng about 4 feet from this guy on my team, and he said "hey..are you wearing cologne?"
"yea..why?"
"b/c i smell something beautiful and fresh.." he said in a poetic way..he was being funny
and then my friend who was about 3 or 4 feet away said "yea..i smell it too..i was wondering what it was..."
"damn..is it really that strong?" i said
"yea but its not a bad thing..i like it" said my friend
Yet my g/f sitting right next to me didnt smell it at all..all day... she even said herself she thinks her smell is bad...and its her that i've been jugding cologne strengths by!
anyway.. I now am convinced that even if my g/f doesnt smell it nor i, people def. can smell it, and like my friend, they dont say a word until someone else speaks up...
I was wearing platinum egoiste ...2 sprays to chest under my shirt, and about 3 on my neck (sides, back). I had applied it nearly NINE hours ago since they said they smelt it..from FEET away... yet my g/f couldn't smell it when she hugs me.. lol...funny
I confirmed it was indeed my smell because i asked my friend to take a whiff up at my neck and he said "yea..thats what it smelt like"
VERY shocked by my PE.

Strange... I wonder if your girlfriend is anosmic to whatever is in that cologne. Can she smell other ones that you have? Has she ever been able to smell it before? Maybe it's just "olfactory fatigue".

she can smell my other colognes only within the first hour or so..then she cant detect anything at all.
i think she just has bad smell. lol.

No, he is saying that over time, consciously trying to smell good colognes (Like PE and Issey for example) will make her sense of smell stronger, or more tuned in.

The same thing has happened to me a few time- people I'm close to tell me they can't really smell my cologne, while others will complement me from a distance.

mmmhhh compliments, one time females sayin what you wearin it smells sooo good (and i was wearin M. Imperial) and some other people say what smells so ugly...there is no parfum where everybody says woooowww what is this...everbody got his own nose...some peopel like it and some not...some people like fresh scents and some like woody heavy scents...you have to find out what kind of parfum is good on your skin and what kind of people are around you...there is no high end parfum...it´s your signature
