I don´t think she´s very far away, Tovah, she posted 7 hrs ago.I hope for a post soon from Shy at the female disco, too, I always enjoy her replies!

Answer:
Ohhh, Hi Tovah! I'm honored you missed me. I'm around, just not posting so much during a busy time. I'm not doing much...but I'm worrying a lot about all the things I should be doing! I'll take advantage of this thread to post my latest fragrance experience, from just this morning.
My bf is back from a month on the road. We had a lovely Saturday with dinner and movie, I had on Shiseido's Rosarium and at a critical moment he said I smelled good. A relaxing Sunday with a visit to his family still in Rosarium.
Now I went to bed early as I have my boys to get up for school. He stayed up late--internet, TV--and slept late so Iwas all showered and dressed before he got up. Happy smiles, sitting close and alone in the house on a Monday off work. And I quote:
Casually, lazily, he says "You must be putting off a lot of testosterone. You kinda smell like me."
{Eh? she queries. *eyes squinting, eyebrow raised* After two+ years, he recognizes the warning signs and correctly interprets "Eh?" to "You better think fast and come up with something good to back out of this ASAP" but...he's still sleepy, hasn't had his coffee....}
"Uh, well, I had some deodorant once that wore off in an hour, and I just threw it away...I mean, you know, it's supposed to last more than an hour..,"
{Are you telling me I stink? *doesn't move, face relaxed, lazy grin* Now he's awake.}
"Nooo. It's just it makes you smell like you've been working outside..."
{I sit up. He punts.}
"I think its mango. Just something in your chemistry makes it....smell....like mango. Have you ever had a fresh mango? It's a bit like cantalope. Then there paypaya...have you ever had paypaya? It like a hard mango, a little sweeter. Kiwi is very citrus, and I don't like it so much. Mango can be stringy...."
So, what was he smelling for the very first time? Waleda Wild Rose oil.

BwaaaaaaaaaaHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

I can just picture his backpedaling. Been there. My hubby doesn't do well with AA Pamplelune. One time while wearing it (I thought it smelled sparkly and fresh) he actually asked me if I'd bathed. Bad idea on his part.

Answer:
You kids crack me up. Since this thread is a little disjointed, I'll take this opportunity to ask: Tovah, what plant is your Avatar? It looks so familiar.
At this time of year, we walk the yard and try to recall all the plant names as we see leaves and blossoms forming. Most often we go, "Ahhhh." This is known as winter botanical amnesia.
I'm watching for that Deirdre tulip to erupt, Shy.

Answer:
Quarry, it is linden blossom, like in Unter den Linden in Berlin and D'Orsay Tilleul and early Orthodox icons.
My Oma used to pick them up, dry the blossoms in the shade and make us kids drink them brewed in hot water when we were coughing. Worked like magic, too!

Answer:
I've given it a bit of thought. The wild rose is the musk rose, and cantalope are called muskmelon, so it all fits I suppose. I think it will be quite nice as an underlayer to other fragrances, rose or otherwise.
